    European Payroll & HRIS Manager - Surrey

    Dalton Recruitment is extremely pleased to have been retained by one of their key clients to secure them a new European Payroll & HRIS Manager.

    This exciting opportunity will require the Payroll & HRIS Manager to join a well-established, international business operating across the UK and mainland Europe. With regular travel to their European locations, the successful candidate will take ownership of payroll delivery, HRIS management and all related projects within these disciplines.

    Reporting to the People Director, the Payroll & HRIS Manager will lead payroll operations across the region, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant delivery. You’ll be responsible for managing relationships with external payroll providers, leading small, skilled teams in the UK and Europe, and driving continuous improvement across all payroll and HR systems.

    In addition, you will act as the subject matter expert for all HRIS matters, HR systems and benefits platform which will include a full migration across to a new HRIS, scheduled for 2027.

    The role will also involve developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and toolkits across both payroll & HRIS specialisms to ensure legal and operational compliance across all regions.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Overseeing payroll operations across multiple European locations
    • Managing relationships with third-party payroll providers and internal stakeholders
    • Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment and data protection legislation
    • Leading HRIS management and optimisation, including upgrades and system transitions
    • Developing and maintaining payroll and HRIS policies, procedures, and governance
    • Managing and developing small, remote teams to deliver excellence
    • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and cross-border process harmonisation

    The ideal candidate will bring:

    • Extensive experience managing complex, multi-country European payrolls
    • Strong HRIS knowledge
    • Proven success in system implementation and process improvement
    • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills at all levels
    • A proactive, analytical mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence
